The Rythu Bharosa Scheme is Telangana’s primary crop investment support initiative. It is administered by the Telangana Department of Agriculture and Cooperation. The scheme provides financial assistance to eligible farmers to help meet agricultural expenses such as seeds, fertilizers, machinery rentals and farm labour at the beginning of the agricultural season.
The Rythu Bharosa Scheme was introduced on 26 January 2025, replacing the previous BRS government’s Rythu Bandhu scheme. Its objective is to provide financial assistance to eligible farmers while strengthening the guidelines for identifying cultivable agricultural land and ensuring that government funds reach genuine farming activities.

Financial Assistance & Payouts
Increased Investment Support: Eligible land-owning farmers receive financial assistance of ₹12,000 per acre per year under the Rythu Bharosa Scheme.
Split Across Seasons: The annual assistance is divided into two instalments of ₹6,000 per acre through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT):
- Vanakalam (Kharif / Monsoon): ₹6,000 per acre.
- Yasangi (Rabi / Winter): ₹6,000 per acre.
The government releases the financial assistance in phases, based on eligible landholdings and beneficiary verification.
During the June–July 2026 disbursement, the government prioritised farmers with smaller landholdings in the initial phases. Other eligible farmers received their payments in subsequent phases.
Tenant Farmers and Landless Agricultural Labourers: Tenant farmers are not covered under the land-based Rythu Bharosa assistance. Landless agricultural labourer families are provided separate financial support of ₹12,000 per year under the Indiramma Atmeeya Bharosa scheme, subject to its eligibility conditions.
Eligibility & Cultivable Land
The Rythu Bharosa Scheme follows eligibility guidelines to ensure that financial assistance is provided for eligible agricultural land rather than being distributed without considering land use.
Eligible:
- Farmers who are permanent residents of Telangana and own eligible agricultural land.
- Landowners whose land records are verified and updated in the state’s Bhu Bharati land records system (formerly Dharani).
- Eligible Forest Rights Act (ROFR) pattadars, subject to applicable government guidelines.
- Farmers whose land is classified and verified as suitable for agricultural cultivation.
Beneficiary identification and land verification are carried out using government records. Farmers should ensure that their land ownership and bank account details are correctly updated.
Not Eligible:
Land that is not considered eligible for agricultural cultivation may be excluded after verification by the concerned departments. This may include:
- Abandoned or non-cultivable land.
- Land converted into real estate layouts.
- Land used for commercial developments.
- Land acquired or used for highways and other infrastructure projects.
- Rocky or barren land that is unsuitable for cultivation.
- Active mining areas and other non-agricultural land.
The final eligibility decision depends on the applicable government orders, land records and official verification.
How Can Farmers Check Their Payments?
Farmers can check their Rythu Bharosa beneficiary status and payment information through the following channels:
Online: Visit the official Telangana @rythubharosa.telangana.gov.in
Check the available beneficiary or payment-status services and follow the instructions provided on the official website. Keep your Pattadar Passbook details and registered mobile number available.
In Person: Farmers can visit their nearest Rythu Vedika centre or contact their Agricultural Extension Officer (AEO) to enquire about beneficiary verification, land records and payment status.
Farmers can also approach the concerned Agriculture Department or Mandal-level officials if they need assistance with their application or payment-related queries.
Why Has My Payment Not Been Credited?
If the Rythu Bharosa amount has not been credited to your bank account, there may be an issue with land verification, beneficiary records or banking details.
Farmers should check the following:
- Check Your Bank Account and e-KYC: Ensure that your bank account is active and that the required KYC details are updated. Confirm that your account can receive government benefit transfers.
- Check Aadhaar and NPCI Mapping: Verify whether your Aadhaar number is correctly linked to your bank account and whether the required NPCI mapping is active for receiving DBT payments. Contact your bank branch if any correction is needed.
- Verify Land Records: Check whether your agricultural land ownership details are correctly updated in the Bhu Bharati land records system. Errors in ownership details, survey numbers or land classification may affect beneficiary verification.
- Submit a Grievance: If your land records have recently been updated or your eligible agricultural land has been incorrectly excluded, approach your local Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) / Tahsildar or the concerned District Collector’s Grievance Cell.
You can also contact your Agricultural Extension Officer for guidance on the appropriate correction or grievance process.
